Comprehensive Eye Exams
Comprehensive Eye Exams include a series of tests performed to assess visual
acuity, refraction, and potential eye disease. You will be tested for any
refractive errors due to the shape of your eye not focusing the light properly,
which causes your vision to be blurry. You will be checked for glaucoma by a
pressure test, and the doctors look for other risk factors. Also included in an
exam is the dilation. Dilation allows the doctors to view the back area of the
eye (the retina) for any moles, freckles, scars, holes or tears. They are also
looking for early signs of cataracts, glaucoma and any other eye diseases.
Retinal Photography
The retinal photos aid the doctors in effectively making sure the structures of
the eye are healthy and provide a permanent record to compare and track
potential eye diseases. Some of the eye conditions the photos help the
doctors check for include: glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure, macular
degeneration, holes or tears of the retina, and moles or freckles of the eye.
InfantSEE Exam
An eye and vision assessment is an important step in making sure your baby is
learning to see properly. The InfantSEE program provides a one-time, no cost
eye and vision assessment for babies 6 to 12 months old. Drs. Kim and Todd
Gunderson are participating InfantSEE providers. To set up an appointment,

Contact Lens Fitting
Contact lenses are medical devices placed on the eyes. Because of this,
they require expert fitting and careful instruction, as well as conscientious
care and compliance with recommended follow-up examinations to maintain
the healthy functioning of your eyes.
The goal of a contact lens fitting is to find the optimal contact lens for your
desired comfort and vision. An enormous variety of types, styles, materials,
sizes, and colors are offered. We are committed to taking the time and making
the effort to fit you properly. We want your decision to wear contact lenses to
be a pleasurable one.
