patients into the office and assists callers with their needs. Bridget has also
been instrumental in the development of our updated website.
"In my free time I like to read, go bowling, and spend time outdoors, whether
bike riding, camping, or hiking. "
Dr. Todd Gunderson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Iowa State
University in 1997 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2001 from the Indiana University
School of Optometry. After practicing with an ophthalmology/optometry group practice in
Marion, Illinois for five years, Dr. Todd relocated to Jasper and started Gunderson Eyecare
with his wife in July, 2006.
Dr. Todd practices full scope optometry and has a special interest in eye care for children,
vision training, and medical eye care. He is an active member of the Indiana Optometric
Association as well as the American Optometric Association. He also serves as an
examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry—grading the competency of
optometry students so they can become Doctors of Optometry. Dr. Todd is the 2008-2009
President of the Jasper Lions Club, sings in the church choir, and serves on the
preschool board. “I enjoy exploring the local area with my wife and family. When I’m not
practicing optometry, I enjoy running, bowling, and activities with our three young boys:
Quinn, Cole and Graham.”
Dr. Kim (Reckelhoff) Gunderson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology
from Indiana University in 1997 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana
University School of Optometry in 2001. She practiced for five years with a multi-specialty
optometry/ophthalmology practice in Southern Illinois. In 2006 she moved from Marion,
Illinois to her home town of Jasper with her husband and business partner, Dr. Todd, and
their children. It was then that they opened Gunderson Eyecare in Jasper.
Dr. Kim is involved with professional optometry organizations on both a local and national
level. She is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the
Indiana Optometric Association. She also serves as an examiner for the National Board
of Examiners of Optometry which grades the competence of those optometrists wishing to
become certified to practice optometry in the United States. "I enjoy practicing optometry in
my hometown, being an active member of the Jasper Lions Club and keeping up with our
three young sons, Quinn, Cole, and Graham."
